Munira Khalil was such a cool professor, and it was obvious she cared a lot about chemistry. I felt really good about the material we covered in this class, even though, in my opinion, it wasn't that interesting.
It was very hard for me to envision big picture applications to what we were learning (formal charges, stoichiometry, precipitation reactions, redox reactions, etc, etc, etc), which made it difficult to me to get into what we were learning about.
HOWEVER:
It was very important for me to begin my journey within the STEM field from the teachings of such a smart and strong woman professor--after so many people told me how STEM was such a male dominated field, starting this difficult path with a female professor (and subsequent diverse professors) was actually very important for me.
