Genetic Epidemiology
This class was super interesting, especially talking about the ethics of genetic testing and the correlation between some afflictions thought to be completely non-genetic (such as addiction) and genetic variables. This class opened my eyes into how many tests you have to go through to be able to say for certain that something has a genetic basis versus environmental. Another example is obesity, which was voted in 2013 to be recognized as a disease and is the 2nd-biggest preventable (?) cause of death after spoking. Obesity and fatness as a correlation to early death goes back to Hippocrates, who said fat people die earlier.
HOWEVER I did stop going to class around week 4, soooo that's great, BUT I did know someone in the class who I became closer to through the class, so that made me very happy :) ALSO the professor Jenny was super cool, and had like 52 children.
